It’s time to celebrate Ladysmith’s rider on this years Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock team and a challenge is being put out to Chamber members.
Ladysmith’s Lindy Skutnik, of 460 Realty has been picked as a guest rider on the 24-member team for the Tour de Rock from Sept. 23-Oct. 6.
Since 1998, ride participants have raised over $2 million for paediatric cancer research and Camp Goodtimes - a special place for children with, or in remission from cancer.
With 2017 being the 20th anniversary, the applicant field was expanded to include paramedics, firefighters, and community representatives such as Skutnik.
Jan Christenson, of Royal LePage Ladysmith, is putting out her challenge to all Chamber members to meet or beat her donation of $100 for Skutnik. To donate, you can go to www.tourderock.com and follow the prompts to the specific rider.
You can also bring a cheque payable to Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock to the Royal LePage office . Please make your envelope is Attn: Jan Christenson, and she will deliver it to the proper Cancer Society representative. Donations of a $25 minimum will receive a tax receipt.
