Instruments of Peace art show in Chemainus

Artist Barry Strasbourg-Thompson’s work is on display until June 29 at the JD Stevenson Gallery in Chemainus.

The show is entitled Instruments of Peace and Strasbourg-Thompson, who is a member of the Ladysmith Waterfront Gallery, has a total of 19 acrylic paintings on display for sale, including Jobe Restored (pictured right).

Strasbourg-Thompson said the show has been well received by the public.

“We’re producing work on the idea of outer peace compared to outer piece,” he said.

Other artists in the show are Phillip Mix, Cindy Mersky, Nancyanne Cowell and John D Stevenson.

The gallery is located at 9768 Willow Street and open seven days a week from 11 am – 4:30 pm.
