The three Ladysmith Ambassadors for 2016-2017 are sending a special farewell message to the community as they prepare to pass their respective crowns to three new women who will take over the roles after this Saturday’s Coronation Pageant.

Ladysmith Ambassador Brittney Webber, Vice Ambassador Morgan Mckenzie and Vice Ambassador and Miss Congeniality Chantal Lofstrom thanked the public as well as the program’s supporters for the opportunity to represent the town.

“As your 2016-2017 Ladysmith Ambassador team we would like to say a special thank you to everyone who has given us an opportunity to learn and grow. We’d also like to thank the community for the endless amount of hugs and recognition (P.S. We will never get tired of being called princesses.) The Ambassador committee, we can’t thank you all enough for the constant support and love, thank you for being there for us and ensuring that were always where we needed to be exactly when we needed to be there.”

Ladysmith Ambassador Program candidates delighted a packed auditorium at Ladysmith Secondary School last Wednesday night for the Speech and Talent event.

The winners of both portions of the evening will be awarded with a $200 prize at the pageant at Frank Jameson Community Centre.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and tickets can be purchased for $15 at the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce office.
