Two motorists involved in a multi-vehicle vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway in the south end of Ladysmith on Tuesday afternoon were transported to hospital for further care.

The collision between the Toyota sedan and Honda compact crossover occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway at Edgelow Road South.

Ladysmith RCMP, Fire Rescue and BC Ambulance all attended the accident scene as traffic was reduced to a single lane.

Paramedics strapped a neck brace on the driver of the Honda and pushed him on a gurney to a nearby ambulance.

The driver of the other vehicle was kept in her car while paramedics waited for a second ambulance to arrive on scene.

RCMP said any injuries were likely minor but that both drivers as well as the passenger in the crossover would be assessed at the hospital.
