Her joy has been loving and being loved by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, nephew/nieces, and great nieces and nephews.

A very close friend Audrey Woodget, all her Ladysmith friends, beloved cousin Charlene Hillson and new forever friends at Parkwood Manor. She was blessed again in love with special friend Ron.

Audrey was raised on a wheat farm four miles north east of the town of Briercrest, Saskatchewan from October 1928 to the summer of 1946. She started school at the age of five going on six at the local single room country school when the teacher invited her to come to school with the other kids starting school that year, as they were her playmates.

She graduated from high school in 1946 at the age of seventeen and went to Vancouver to enter Nursing training. Her first year in Vancouver was spent as a nurse's aide at the Vancouver General Hospital, because she was too young for nurse's training. She started nursing school at Vancouver General Hospital the following year.  Her nursing career took her to being a nurse in Emergency room of Vancouver General Hospital, Flight Attendant with Trans Canada Airlines, Head Nurse of Emergency at Lions Gate Hospital, North Vancouver, First Nations Health in the NWT and First Nations Duncan area.

Later years Audrey was involved in her passion of volunteer work with Canadian Cancer Society and always her life long caregiving to family/ friends and most recently new residents at Parkwood Manor in Coquitlam.

She continued to inspire others by her adventurous spirit, elegance, laughter and empathy. She is a much loved woman and leaves her legacy of caring.

We give our special thanks to the Palliative Care team of Fraser Health for their heartfelt care for Audrey and the family.

At her request a Celebration for family and close friends will be held on Saturday, September 30th, 2:00 pm at First Memorial Funeral Services Burkeview Chapel, 1340 Dominion Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. V3B 8G7.

In lieu of flowers donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
