After selling the family run business the Red Rooster in 1993, he embarked on a new adventure, owning Travel 2 Destinations out of Chemainus for the last 18 years.

Through their life together, Garnet was able to take his family traveling around the world, enjoying their travels with many family and friends. He enjoyed golfing with his buddies at Mt. Brenton Golf course where he was a member, coaching his children in soccer and baseball and the many socials with their friends.
