It is with a heavy heart that we say farewell to an amazing lady and true pillar of our community. The hats you wore were many...each as loving and beautiful as the next.
Daughter of Jack and Margaret Battie, who beamed with pride every time you sang. Sister to Lindsay (June) Monroe, Elaine (Reg) Warner, Val (Larry), Morgan & Vivian (Colin Cameron ).
Laughter was always the best medicine and together you had the biggest dose.
Wife of Gord Patterson, who's strength will come from the wonderful memories of 48 years of marriage and knowing that he was the love of your life. Mother to Susan (Bob) Cabral and Gord Jr., who count their blessings every day that you were their Mom! Nana to Lola and Cortez.
They will miss you every single day, but will grow up to be wonderful people because of lessons they learned from you. Auntie Glenda to countless nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family, who you held as close to your heart as if they were your own children.
Nurse, Lab Technician, Retired Alderperson, Volunteer Cancer Counselor and so much more to so many in the community... But mostly - a true friend and inspiration to us all! You loved without fear & gave your heart unconditionally to everyone you met.
A "Hi Hun" or "How are you Sweetheart" was more powerful than you will ever know. You believed whole-heartedly in guardian angels... and now we do too!
Celebration of Life - Saturday, October 28, 2017, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. St Mary's Church (Hall), Ladysmith BC. No host bar.
