Predeceased by her husband; Arthur of 65 years in July 2011, brothers; Albert, William, sister Doreen and grandson Bradly.
Survived by her daughter Marie (Ken) Rehman, son, Mervin (Gayl) Scott, sister, Elaine Clarke, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
Laverne was born and raised in Ladysmith. A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Family was the focus of her life. An active member of the Ladysmith Eagles for over 60 years and a long serving member of the Lady Eagles drill team. Special thanks to those who were so supportive in the final months, especially Mary Ann and Stu Chadwick, Ted and Joan Hall, sister Elaine, and in particular the staff at Palliative Care Unit Nanaimo General Hospital in her final hours.
