Lloyd George

Passed away on October 1st, 2011 at the Lodge on 4th, Ladysmith, BC, age 84 years. Born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, on October 9th, 1926.

Predeceased by his parents Lester and Ivy; sister Phyllis, brothers Bruce and Rex, son Grant, and wives Jean and Mona. Sadly missed by his soulmate and wife Gaylene; son Jack, sisters Iris and Jo, nephew Bruce (Felicity), great-niece Kisha, step-daughter Susan and step-son Dale (Dana), step-grandsons Tyler and Jason; step-daughters Susan and Janely, and step-grandchildren Cameron, Hannah and Connor.

Lloyd was a founding member of the 4H Club of Nanaimo. He later transferred to Winnipeg as Manager of Great West Life, and was president of the Manitoba Horseman Association. In the mid 70’s he returned to the Island and sold real estate. He was an ardent gardener, had a good sense of humour, lots of laughs, was a tomato man and a gentleman; and was past member of the Bonsai Club and the Masonic Fraternity. His memory will be cherished in the hearts of all those lives he touched.

Celebration of Lloyd’s life will be held on Saturday, October 8th, 2011 between 1-4 p.m. in the Crofton Community Center, Crofton, BC. Flowers gratefully declined. In memory of Lloyd those so desiring may make donation to the charity of their choice.
