February 18, 1934 – March 18, 2011
Rose passed away peacefully at the age of 77. She was predeceased by her husband August Jr., and son Gordon.
She leaves behind her daughter Yvonne Shortt (Ron), son Everette, brother-in-law Ira Griffiths (Irene), granddaughters Corrisa, Amanda, Jesslyn, Kara, Kendra, and many more beloved friends and family.
Rose always spoke fondly of growing up on Reid Island, her previous fishing days, and her family. She carried with her a passion for life and an independent nature.
Rose will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know her. A Memorial Service and reception was held at Yates Funeral Home, March 26, 2011.
