Knappett Projects bid wins

The Town of Ladysmith has awarded the contract to build Phase 2 of the sewage treatment facility — the solids handling — to Knappett Projects. Knappett was the lowest bidder at $959,640 plus HST.

Other bidders included C&M Developments, Farmer Construction, D Robinson Contracting and Seafirst Construction. Their bids ranged from $967,306.31 to $1,325,000. Project engineers, Opus Dayton Knight, reviewed the tenders. Around two-thirds of the project, worth $2,339,370, is funded by the British Columbia Community Water Improvement Program.
