Chemainus Health Care Auxiliary members honoured

New officers sworn in and length-of-service pins presented at annual luncheon

The Chemainus Health Care Auxiliary gathered Nov. 30 to celebrate its members and their contributions to the community. Volunteers took a well-deserved break to enjoy a special luncheon that honoured their dedication and marked the conclusion of a significant year.

The annual event included the swearing in of new Auxiliary officers and the presentation of service pins recognizing members' years of commitment. Retired B.C. Association of Health-Care Auxiliaries Area Representative Nadi Bottomley presided over the installation of officers, while Auxiliary President Donna McCasky and membership convenor Olga Spensley presented the awards.

The celebration was made even more memorable by the hospitality of Randy Huber, managing director of the Chemainus Theatre Festival, and his staff, who handled the details. Guests enjoyed an exceptional meal crafted by executive chef Benjamin Therlien.

The occasion served as a joyful conclusion to the Auxiliary's 125th anniversary year, celebrating more than a century of service and community impact.

The Chemainus Health Care Auxiliary continues to exemplify the spirit of volunteerism, fostering a legacy of care and support in the community.
