Christmas season on its way at Cowichan Lake!

Christmas events coming to Cowichan Lake

With some craft fairs already in the rear-view mirror, the majority of holiday happenings are still to come in advance of Christmas in the Cowichan Lake Region.

On Saturday, Nov. 23 all are welcomed to a Christmas Market at the Cow Cafe (51 North Shore Rd.).

"Have a Christmas present you need to get or a last-minute add to your Christmas spread, the Cow has you covered," said organizers. Tables for vendors are free of charge and Santa will be on hand for photos between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

For more information or to book a table call 250-749-4933.

On Sunday, Nov. 24 the annual Cowichan Lake District Chamber of Commerce and Country Grocer Christmas Parade and Festival begins at 4 p.m. and ends around 8 p.m.

The parade will run down the main drag starting at 5 p.m. with the activities before and after, taking place at Country Grocer. There will be a market, crafts for the kids, as well as free cookies, coffee, hot chocolate and hot dogs, and photos with Santa after the parade.

Those wishing to be part of the parade can email info@cowichanlake.ca or lhoegi@countrygrocer.com

On Sunday, Nov. 30 the second annual Holiday Maker's Market is being held at Ed's Coffeehouse (67 South Shore Rd.) The event, which runs from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., will feature local artisans, gifts for purchase, food, and music.
