For the past five year the Corvette Club of Victoria has hosted the “Glass on the Grass” Corvette Show at Transfer Beach in Ladysmith.

It returned Sunday, May 5 from 10 a.m. to around 2 p.m.

This year the club donated $500 to Ladysmith Community Policing and “Citizens on Patrol.”

“We want to help them continue to do the great work they do for the community,” Doug Oakley, club president said. “The RCMP can depend on them for the extra support day to day and during special events.”

Those who went down to Transfer Beach for this fun, free, family-friendly event got to see about 80 corvettes from all over Vancouver Island and of all vintages from the 1950s through to some of today’s extreme models.
