Ladysmith’s Amphitheatre was host to a very special event last Saturday, June 22, as more than 120 Ladysmith Secondary School graduates took part in the annual grad prom event.
The students were welcomed to the event by Mayor Aaron Stone and were greeted by Stz’uminus Elder George Harris and past chief Roxanne Harris.
The graduating class, and their escorts, were introduced to the packed theatre as they walked down the stairs to the red carpet.
After the introductions the grads participated in the grad parade along First Avenue.
The day was wrapped up by the prom dinner and dance held at the Coast Bastion in Nanaimo.
