• May 6-28, Harvey, The Chemainus Theatre Festival, The Chemainus Theatre Festival presents Broadway’s charming comedy of errors, Harvey, by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Mary Chase. • May 7, Royal LePage National Garage Sale for The Shelter Foundation, in the Royal LePage parking lot at 410 First Ave., Ladysmith, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds go Haven House in Nanaimo, to help women and children who have experienced violence. • May 8, Iain Duncan & Friends, 2 to 5 p.m., The Crofton Jazz Series. Saxophonist Iain Duncan with organist Tony Genge, guitarist Rob Cheramy and drummer Jon Miller will offer their unique take on the classic American songbook of the era. • May 14, Tour de Rock 5km Fun Run, Starts from the Amphitheatre at Transfer Breach Park. An untimed colour run for the whole family. Be prepared to be covered in neon by the end. Race starts at 10 a.m. Registration includes a t-shirt, bottle of water, pair of sunglasses and one bag of colour. • May 29, The LaFF Third Annual Golf Tournament, Cottonwood Golf Course, 3 p.m. An afternoon of fun on the greens and after for a delicious Bar-B-Que at the Cottonwood Golf Course….all supporting children and families in the community.
