Members of the Ladysmith Fire Rescue were all smiles for their annual Christmas tree collection on Sunday, Jan. 5.

The efforts the members put in to raise funds for the department's society go to refurbishing the town’s antique fire equipment and other local charities.

The project collected a few dozen trees and more than $1,500. The Town of Ladysmith chips the trees and then uses the byproduct for trail cover and other things within the community.
