Those who appreciate art can get a behind-the-scenes look at how it’s made.

The Spring Art Tour, being promoted by the Arts Council of Ladysmith and District, will feature 16 artist studios in Ladysmith, Chemainus, Cedar and Yellow Point this weekend, April 22-24.

“This self-guided tour gives you the opportunity to meet the artists in their creative spaces, ask questions, view work and live demonstrations and buy directly from the makers themselves,” noted an event press release. “It is also a great way to explore these areas as you drive through the town and countryside to get to your destination.”

The tour runs April 22-24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day and masks are required. Brochures can be picked up from the Arts Council of Ladysmith at 444 Parkhill Terr., the 49th Parallel coffee shop, Salamander Books, Frank Jamieson Centre and Wild Poppy Café.
