It’s Big Band time at the Crofton Hotel Pub Sunday, Oct. 25, and the Georgia Strait Band will perform Sinatra-era tunes made famous by iconic bandleaders like Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Dizzy Gillespie.
Conducted by Vancouver Island University jazz studies professor Greg Bush for the past eight years, the band features vocalist Jacki Zbirun.
The Jazz at Crofton series runs at the Crofton Hotel Pub Sundays from 2 to 5 p.m. Musicians are invited to join in a jam session during the last hour.
