Dancestreams Youth Dance Company is accustomed to seeing a host of talented young dancers passing through, but for artistic director Patricia MacKenzie who has been with the company since 1992, the experience never gets old. “Every season is different, every group has its own special character and atmosphere and they all encompass masses of talent, drive and energy.” Dancestreams is unique among dance companies- not only does it draw the most talented and focused of professionally-minded dancers, but they hail from studios and communities throughout Vancouver Island, coming together just one day per week. This season, Dancestreams is excited to perform in Ladysmith at the Agricultural Hall on Sunday May 8 at 2 p.m. Tickets ($10) are available at the door.
