It’s May, and you can smell the flowers.

You can also see them, if you visit the Ladysmith Waterfront Gallery this month.

The Waterfront Gallery’s latest show, The Garden Club/Student Art, runs from May 4 to July 1.

The Ladysmith and District Arts Council has teamed up with Ladysmith Rotary for the month of May to celebrate the Rotary Garden Tour, which will be held Sun., May 27.

During the show, two Ladysmith student artists will be featured.  Carmen Leed and Arie Bonsor will each have a wall to display their original art.

Works by First Nations students and by students of the gallery’s children’s and adult classes will also be on display.

The gala opening for The Garden Club/Student Art will be this Saturday (May 5) at 7 p.m. at the Waterfront Gallery. Gardener and artist Paula Shemming will be the guest speaker.

The Ladysmith Waterfront Gallery is open Tuesday to Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. and is located at 610 Oyster Bay Dr. Click here for more information.
