Road conditions may have been a contributing factor to the first of two vehicle incidents on Sunday night, Aug. 18, in the Ladysmith area.

RCMP were called to a vehicle rollover in the 1300 block of Timberlands Road. When they arrived what appeared to be a truck was on its roof off the side of the road.

According to police the driver and passengers were taken to hospital due to minor injuries.

The second incident, according to RCMP, was also a single vehicle crash where the vehicle rolled over and struck a power pole. The incident happened on the Island Highway south of the Ludlow intersection in the northbound lanes. There was damage to boulevard trees and the power pole. RCMP report that the driver was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
