All water systems across the Cowichan Valley Regional District are now at Stage 2 water-use restrictions, except for Burnum which is at Stage 3, as east Vancouver Island is at Drought Level 3.
Stage 2 restrictions mean sprinkling and hand-watering are not permitted between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Residents are being asked to only use sprinklers for a maximum of two hours and one day per week.
