Nanaimo-Ladysmith byelection voters, undecided or decided, can get a look at all the major candidates in one place.
The Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce hosts an all-candidates’ debate on Thursday, April 25, at 7 p.m. at the Beban Park social centre.
“The community has come to expect this from the chamber so we are pleased to offer an event that we’re becoming very well-practised at,” said Kim Smythe, chamber CEO, in a press release. “This will be our fifth such event within the past two years.”
Participating candidates will include Bob Chamberlin, NDP; Michelle Corfield, Liberals; John Hirst, Conservatives; Paul Manly, Greens; Jennifer Clarke, People’s Party of Canada; and Brian Marlatt, Progressive Canadian Party.
A candidate meet-and-greet will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Beban social centre leading up to the debate.
As well, there will be an all-candidates’ meeting hosted by the South End Community Association on Monday, April 29, at 6:30 p.m. at the Harbour City Theatre.
