A house was destroyed in a fire earlier this week on Church Road on the Stz’uminus reserve.

North Oyster Volunteer Fire Department and Ladysmith Fire Department responded to the callout on Church Road on Monday, May 16, at about 4:45 and firefighters arrived to find a structure fully engulfed in flame.

RCMP said the fire was under investigation and they had no reports of any serious injuries.

Witnesses said everyone got out of the home and though there were no serious injuries, it appeared one person was transported from the scene by paramedics while at least two other people were treated at the scene.
