The Ladysmith Community Garden is complementing the Rotary Garden Tour, Show and Sale by offering a public Open House Sun., May 27 from noon to 3 p.m.
Ladysmith Community Garden Society members are encouraging everyone to bring a picnic, enjoy live music and celebrate the new growing season.
There will be children’s activities such as face painting, a scavenger hunt, games and crafts throughout the afternoon. As well, the Trincomali Trombone Quartet, a popular classical and jazz group, will perform from 1-1:45 p.m. There will be an informal drum circle from 2-2:45 p.m., and everyone is encouraged to bring their drum or shaker and join in.
