Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s help to find 13-year-old Ayla Natalie Johnson.

Johnson left home Tuesday with a friend and since then, her phone has been turned off and her whereabouts unknown.

Johnson was reported missing on Wednesday and investigators have learned Johnson has recently been making some poor decisions. As a result, her family and support network are concerned for her safety and well-being.

Johnson is an Indigenous youth, 5-foot-6, 110 pounds and her hair is black with dyed orange streaks. She was last seen wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, dark shorts, black Nike shoes and a blue hat. She was also carrying a blue/white fanny pack.

Anyone with information regarding Johnson’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 2550-754-2345.
