North Cowichan ‘Better Off’ campaign

An initiative aimed at improving the energy efficiency of homes in the region.

The Better Off North Cowichan campaign is underway, an initiative aimed at improving the energy efficiency of homes in the region, helping residents save money and reducing the community’s greenhouse gas emissions.

For a limited time North Cowichan residents can pick up free energy and water conservation kits, which include a high-efficiency showerhead and two faucet aerators – one for the kitchen and another for a bathroom.

To participate, just be one of the first 75 homeowners or renters to bring your old fixtures into the municipal hall at 7030 Trans Canada Highway in exchange for one of the free kits.

For more information about the program, and notification of energy conservation workshops and other upcoming initiatives aimed at reducing energy consumption and GHG emissions, sign up at www.northcowichan.ca/subscribe.
