Local weavers got together to make cedar pouches for the Hul’qumi’num language CDs at the Stz’uminus First Nations on Tuesday, March 15. The pouches are special collectors’ items and there will be 50 for sale at the official CD launch in April.Cedar has special significance for the Stz’uminus, said Pearl Harris, Hul’qumi’num manager.“Cedar is very sacred for us.”The pouches will be further adorned with art from local artists.
