SHELTON, Alice Thompson (nee Watchorn)
Passed away peacefully April 9, 2007. Born May 15, 1914 in Francis, Saskatchewan.
Pre deceased by husband Vern (1993), and sister Gertrude (1974).
Alice is survived by Len (Gloria, Tara), Rob (Morna, Alicia, Alena), Pearl (John), brother Tom and family, special friend Wilf, nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
Mom grew up through the depression on the prairies. She travelled to the west coast, met and married Dad, raising a family of three. They lived in Ladysmith, Westholme, and returned to Ladysmith upon retirement. She enjoyed sewing, and a variety of crafts, which she gave to many family, friends and visitors. She excelled at keeping in touch with family and friends both near and far and jigsaw puzzles. After Dad passed away, Mom and special friend Wilf enjoyed many happy times traveling about. She fought a valiant fight after several strokes, now finally at peace. The family will be eternally grateful to Wilf for his last time and loving care in the last few years.
