Ann Armstrong (Nee: Waska) 1924 – 2009
On July 18th, our wonderful Mother, Nana, Granny, sister, aunt and friend passed away at home, in the loving presence of her family. Ann was predeceased by her husband Jack and brothers Mike and Harry Waska. We will
cherish the memory of her humour, vitality, fairness and love of family. She will be sadly missed by her children: Karen (Barry); Michael (Elsa); grandchildren: Kristina, Tristan, Julia and Michelle; and sister Ellen (Gord).
Ann was born March 28, 1924 in Sokoliki, Poland (now Ukraine). The family immigrated to Canada in 1931. Ann was raised on a farm in Maple Ridge and was a member of a well-known Fraser River fi shing family. Upon her marriage in 1946, Ann moved to Ladysmith V.I. where she lived for 63 years.
