Born March 6, 1922, passed away April 8, 2005 in NRGH.
Art is survived by Mary, his wife of 61 years, sons Ron (Pat), Dave (Betty-Ann), Jim (Lanoa) and daughters: Margaret (Mike), Diane (Larry). He also leaves 8 grandchildren: Pam, Heather (Keith), Chris, Ray, Scott, Megan, Brent and Vanessa and 5 great grandchildren: Cheyenne, Kaitlin, Mikhaila, Jordan and Caylyn.
Predeceased by son Kenneth Arthur and brothers Cyril and Louie. Survived by sisters Ann, Kay, Joan and Jackie.
Art was a long time member of Eagles, NDP and was an original member of Nanaimo Credit Union and Co-Op. He worked as a machinist and retired from Harmac in 1987 after 12 years.
Born and raised in Nanaimo, Art married and spent his life with his family on the Sunnus family farm in Yellow Point. A celebration of Art’s life will be held at the Cedar Community Hall on Saturday, April 16, 2005 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.
