Passed away peacefully August 1, 2003.
Born November 24, 1926 in the District of Bridgend, South Wales. Predeceased by husband Bob Scofield September 21, 2000.
Survived by three daughters: Carol Townsend (Wayne), Jo-Ann Hammond (Barry) and Sue Benoit (Jim).
Five grandchildren: Andrew & Ali (Hammond), Alison & Todd (Heikes), Jeffrey & Tonia (Townsend), Bonnie & Todd (Davidson) and Glynis & Aaron (Steen). Seven great grandchildren: Justin & Emily, Jessica, Jake & Tyler, Courtenay & Marcus.
Audrey has 3 sisters living in Wales: Joan Thomas, Pat & Brian Jones and Phyl & Ken Cashman plus numerous nieces & nephews.
Audrey was a member of the O.A.P., Eagles and Legion; a member of the Legion’s Monday Night Crib Club and strong supporter of Wed. night bingo. Audrey was always counted on for her baking for any event.
Special thanks to Dr. Reimer & Dr. Chris Fritsch and all of the nurses & caregivers who helped to make her & the family comfortable at Cowichan District Hospital (Duncan).
No flowers please, donations to the Cancer Society or charity of your choice appreciated.
She will be sadly missed by all.
A tea will be held in Audrey’s honour at the OAP Hall on High Street on Wedesday, August 6 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
