Born in Apagy, Hungary June 3, 1950.
Survived by his loving wife Kathy, his son Bela and daughter Zita (Istvan), grand daughters: Fruzsina, Jennifer and Fani, brothers: Frank (Jocelyn) and Janos (Marika), sisters: Jolan (Sandor), and Iren. His father and mother-in-law Cornelius and Mildred Neufeld, brothers-in-law Bill (Phyllis), Barry and Brian (Marjon), sisters-in-law: Beryl (Mel) Stevens and Maria (Wayne) Lee. Also nieces and nephews: Janos (Tunde), Rita (Gabor) Kati (Zoltan), Erika (Laszlo), Tibor (Judit) and Szilvia (Andras) Istvan, Zoltan, Dean (Laurie), Shawn, Eric, Kimberley, Jodie (Sean), David, Neil (Shannon), Melanie (Kevin), Sheila (Brian), Mike (Serena) and Brenda, also many other family members and friends. A Celebration of Bela’s life was held on Friday, May 30, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at Chemainus United Church, Chemainus, BC. Rev. Michelle Slater officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements confidently entrusted to Telford’s Mid-Island Memorial Services.
