Bethia Hollis GRIFFIN

November 2, 2003

GRIFFIN,

Bethia Hollis

Born May 21, 1924 in Falkirk, Scotland passed away peacefully on November 2, 2003 at Buchanan Lodge in New Westminister, B.C. She was predeceased by her parents Alfred and Anna Dady, long time residents of Ladysmith, and by her loving husband Allan in 1996. Left to mourn are their three children, Brent (Janice), Hollis and Brad (Diane) and eleven grandchildren, her siblings Art & Gerry Dady, Norma Dady, Ruth Kilner & Virginia Webb as well as sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephews and friends. Bethia was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt who graciously and willingly shared her many talents - sewing, gardening, knitting, cooking and baking while always being considerate of the needs of others. She and Allan shared a warm and welcoming home for 52 years at Burnaby, B.C. and it was Auntie Bethia's and Uncle Al's place for a stop-over for the travellers. She will be forever missed, but never forgotten by all who knew and loved her. Special thanks to her sister Norma, who exemplified love, devotion and care to Bethia during her last six years. A memorium tea was held Saturday, November 15, 2003 at the home of Brad & Diane Griffin in Maple Ridge, B.C. If friends so wish a memorium may be sent to Buchanan Lodge, 409 BlairAve., New Westminster, B.C. V3L 4A4, or to the Alzheimer Society.
