passed away peacefully at her home in Ladysmith, B.C., on September 9, 2005, surrounded by her family, after a one year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Vancouver, B.C. on May 2, 1948, graduating from Windermere Secondary School in 1966. Predeceased by her mother Florence in 1948.
Survived by her parents Arthur and Evelyn, her loving husband of 33 years Brian, daughter Erin (Trevor), brother Brian (MaryAnn), sister Lori (Wil), grand-daughter due in November, also nephew and numerous nieces.
Bonnie volunteered at Davis Road School from 1981 to 2004. She loved eating out, loved animals, especially cats, friends and family and had a passion for working with children. She will be remembered as kind, positive, energetic, thoughtful, generous spirit as well as a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, aunt and devoted friend.
A special thanks to Dr. E. McMurtrie, Dr. E. Fritsch, home care nurses and home support as well as the girls at the cancer agency in Victoria.
The family also wish to thank friends and neighbours for their overwhelming generosity.
A Celebration of Bonnie’s Life will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ladysmith Eagle’s Hall.
