Bradley George STAVLEY

Bradley passed away suddenly on February 28 in Nanaimo after a long and arduous battle with his disease.


Born in Vancouver in 1979, Bradley lived most of his life in Prince George and Calgary. He chose to spend his last years in Ladysmith, a town he loved very much and to be close to his family.


Predeceased by his beloved mother Eva, he will be sadly missed by his father Doug, his brother Dean, grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.


Funeral services for Bradley was held at Telford’s in Ladysmith, Tuesday, March 5, 2002.

Garnet Rose


(nee Tibbetts)


On March 9, 2002, Garnet Rose Cooper (nee Tibbetts) slipped away peacefully at Cairnsmore Place in Duncan, B.C., where she had been a resident for two months. Born on January 15, 1922, in Carpio, North Dakota, she moved with her family in 1929 to the Peace River District to homestead with several other Johnson families. Upon gradation from high school she attended the Sprott Shaw Training School in Vancouver. On September 1, 1943 she married Sid Cooper in Dawson Creek and raised a family. They moved to Chemainus, B.C. in July of 1986 to enjoy their retirement. She will be fondly remembered by her loving husband Sid, sons Gary (Linda), Daryl, Blair, Brent and daughter Kim (Wayne), grandchildren Jody, Dean Scott, Brett, Desiree, Maygen, Clint, Shawn and Kendra, brother Blake (Louise), sister Nyla and sister-in-law Peggy. Her funeral service will be held in the Calvary Baptist Church on River Road in Chemainus on Thursday, March 14, 2002 at 2:00 p.m., followed by burial in the Chemainus Cemetery.
