SMITH, Brian
Born March 24, 1929 in Maxwelltown,Scotland. Passed away April 3, 2011 at the Nanaimo Hospital after a long Battle with dementia. Brian and Elaine were residents of Chemainus for 53 years. He arrived in Canada to work on the construction of Crofton Pulp Mill and later worked as a longshoreman for 33 years.
Predeceased by his daughter Denise and grandson Brandon.
Survived by his loving wife of 59 years; Elaine, children; David (Debi) Smith, Debbie Allen and Julie Rainforth; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great grandsons.
The family would like to thank the staff of Nanaimo Hospital I.C.U. and Palliative Care for their compassion and care.
