Passed away peacefully on April 1, 2002 in Ladysmith Hospital in his 94th year.
Born in Kent England on April 13, 1908. Colin moved to Victoria, B.C. in 1913. Predeceased by his first wife Muriel in 1969 and second wife Josie in 1999. Survived by his daughter Shirley, two sons: Bob (Edie) and Jim (Donna), step-daughter Gerri Stevens and step-son John (Sheila) Wilson. Also a sister Sybil Connell (96 yrs) and brother Phillip (90 yrs); 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Colin was a life member of the Masonic Lodge and recently was awarded his 60 year pin. He was a First Class Steam Engineer and was employed at Chemainus mill for 26 years.
A celebration of Colin’s life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2002 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm in the Chemainus Seniors Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Fund would be appreciated. Thanks to Dr. Laing and the staff of the Ladysmith Hospital for their kind and loving care.
