David (Frenchie) LARADE

In loving memory of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather David (Frenchie) Larade. He will be sadly missed. Born May 13, 1922, passed away suddenly on March 23, 2006, at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary Patterson Tennant Larade, son David William Larade and special companions Jan Allen and Mary Simpson. Survived by daughter Katherine (Dennis); sons Jim (Donna), Port Alice, BC, Joe, Victoria, BC and brother Wilfred, Cheticamp, Nova Scotia, grandchildren Kim (Martin), Kerry, Deana (Christos), Anita, Desiree (Mark), Patricia (Curtis), Jimmy, Hollie, Sherry-Lynne, Debbie-Lynne, Markus, Jenette and Deanna. Great-grandchildren Alexandria, Tatianna, Alyssa, Kailey, Austin, Zoe, Micheala, Damon, Lucas, Jayden, Harley, Dawson, Allison and many nieces and nephews in Nova Scotia. A private family service is to be held and a Memorial Tea will be on Wednesday, March 29th, 2006, 4 to 6 pm at the Eagles Hall, downstairs, in Ladysmith. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Dave was a longshoreman for most of his working years. He loved working in his yard, fishing and tending his rose garden. In his retirement years he quite enjoyed his trips to Reno, then came to enjoy his computer and email, and playing crib with his friend Leo, he also cherished his trips back to Nova Scotia and being re-united after 30 years with his family and friends and enjoying his favorite foods, Alaskan King Crab and Nova Scotia Lobster.
