Passed away peacefully on March 12 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Dave will be greatly missed by his wife Connie; mother Helen; children, Carley (Joel), Lanny; sister Joan (Digby); stepchildren Ray (Daniella), Tod, Jenn; grandchildren Alia, Natalie, Mila; and of course his four-legged friends with whom he shared many hikes, and so much joy and laughter.
His love of animals and nature were a great source of strength, as were his many friends of Bill W.
Dave worked for 30 years at WFP Saltair Div., where he worked as a carpenter, lumber grader, and boom man. His passion was the safety committee, where his priority was to keep his co-workers safe.
Much gratitude to the Home Care Nurses, Dr. Love, and the Palliative Care Nurses who helped care for Dave. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society.
A Celebration of Dave's Life will be held at the Eagle's Hall in Ladysmith (First Ave.) on Friday, March 19th,1 - 4 pm. Come and share your stories!
