WEATHERELL – David Scott passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday, September 27th, 2009. Born in Ganges, Salt Spring Island on September 25th, 1929. Predeceased by his parents, Cuthbert Rennie, and Jessie Beryl Weatherell. David leaves behind his loving wife, Sheila of 37 years, sons; {Tim “Robin” (Alison) Kaya, Owen}, {Scott (Tina) Brandon, Margaret}, brother; Rennie (Eunice), and many nieces and nephews. David was an active member of St. John’s Anglican Church (Ladysmith), Diamond Squares, square dancing, and the Rubber Band where he played the accordion, and was also actively involved in Curisllo, and volunteered at the Ladysmith Food Bank. He was very innovative and loved to keep himself busy tinkering and fi xing things. David was a loving, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His memory will be cherished in the hearts of all those lives he touched. Funeral service was held in St. John’s Anglican Church. 314 Buller Street, Ladysmith, BC, on Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Daniel Fournier, offi ciating. Followed by interment in the Ladysmith Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Those so desiring make donation in memory of David to the Canadian Cancer Society, “Tour de Rock” P.O.
