It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden, but not unexpected, death of our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, Diane Short.
She leaves to mourn her loving husband Al Short; daughters Paula Pedelty (Gerry) and Tracy McCoy; brother Terry Rutherford (Gloria); and grandchildren Cory McCoy, Karl McCoy and Courtney Shea.
Diane was born in Vancouver, B.C., and resided most of her life on Vancouver Island. Diane spent most of her life as a caregiver and also did a variety of different volunteer work.
She took great joy and pride in her family, and loved them all. Th e family would like to especially thank Dr. E. Fritsch for the hours and years of care he dedicated to her. We would also like to thank Bethel Baptist Church for their love and support for our mother, and to Amber McRae for being there for her.
Service was held November 18, 2010 at Bethel Tabernacle Baptist Church, Ladysmith, B.C.
