Born October 26, 1913. Peacefully passed away in the loving company of his daughter Deborah on March 14, 2003. Prede-ceased by his wife d’Auria. Don is survived by his only child Deborah, brothers Fred and George (Gwen) and was blessed with loving extended families. . . Terri, Bruce, Alina and Evan. . . Dave, Brenda Jake and Nevada. As well as everyone at the whitespot! Don will be remembered for his tireless volunteer efforts for both the City of Nanaimo and the Vancouver Island Exhibition. He will be rememberd for his dedication to all his endeavors, from being one of British Columbia’s most respected seed potato growers in his early years to being a wonderful husband and father in his later years. But above all else, he will be remembered for the exquistie flowers he grew as well as the love of gardening he instilled in others. He was an inspiration to all that were graced with his presence.

A celebration of Don’s life will be held at the Nanaimo Golf and Country Club on Wednesday, March 19, 2003, 2:00 to 6:00 pm.
