Dorathea Luella,
Born October 28, 1915. passed away peacefully on November 22, 2002. Dorathea was born in St. Gregor, Saskatchewan, daughter of Magdeline and Eugene Munkler. Dora is predeceased by her husband Stephen Reiber in 1999. Dorathea was the mother of six children: Geraldine Jacobson, Richard Reiber, James Reiber (Muriel), Agnes (Jean-Claude) Levesque, Maryanne (Willie) Wall, Rosemary (Carmine) Vertone. Grandmother of ten: Michelle Jacobson; Steven and Kimberly Reiber; Brian Reiber; Lynn Layman; David, Timothy and Rebecca Wall; and Nicole and Samatha Vertone. Great grandmother of four; Conner and Duncan Layman; Michael and Tyler Reiber. Dorathea lived and raised her family in the North Oyster Community, living many years on Brenton Page Road before moving to Ladysmith. Dora taught school in the Nanaimo School District for twenty-one years before retirement in 1975. Dora was an active parishioner of St. Mary’s Parish. She contributed generously to many charities to support those in need. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ladysmith Food bank would be appreciated. Funeral services will begin with a prayer service at 7 pm on Thursday, November 14th and the funeral will be held at 1 pm on Friday, November 15th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
