Born 1931 in Timmins,
Ontario, moved to Sarnia, Ontario in 1948 where she married and raised her 3 daughters.
She moved to Ladysmith, BC in 1992 where she met her second husband with whom she enjoyed a full active life until her illness.
She was taken mercifully by God in her home on
June 28, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by first husband Max Townsend and her brother Bruce. She is survived by husband Alan, daughters Sharon (Gary), Vicky (Elie) and Lynne
(Victor); grandchildren: Bill and Nika, brother Bob
Armstrong, brother-in-law Glen Townsend, stepsons Brian and David and their families, relatives and loving friends.
A celebration of Life was held on Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 11:00 am in the Cassidy M.H.P. Community Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doreen’s memory to the Cancer
Society.
