Doris Mary Storey
March 29,1926 - May 26, 2016
Doris, a long time resident of Chemainus passed away peacefully at the age of 90 in Chemainus Health Care Centre. Doris and her husband Frank came to Canada from Cumberland, England in 1957. Doris worked at the local post office for over twenty-five years; active in the community, she volunteered her time to the Meals On Wheels programme with husband Frank. Doris was predeceased by her two boys, David and Roy, her loving husband Frank and brother Ron.
Doris is survived by her sister Joan (Peter), brothers Richmond (Betty) and Eddie. A kind and thoughtful person, Doris will be missed by her many friends and extended family, Ginny and Delbert, Debbie and Chris, Ann and Mike, Reg, Brenda and all her family and friends in Britain.
She will always have a special place in our hearts.
It was Doris’s wish that no service be held. Her ashes will be taken to England and reunited with her family.
A special thanks to the staff at Dovehill House, where Doris was happy to call home for the last three years.
