KERNACHAN,
Dugald “Dugie” Riddell
Born December 20, 1921 in Glasgow, Scotland, passed away peacefully May 23, 2004 at the Cowichan District Hospital.
Lovingly remembered by his family; wife of 57 years, Evelyn “Toots”; children Dan (Janet), Linda (Keith) and Rob (Nancy); grandchildren Dug (Jenn), Robyn (Nathan), Matt, Dave, Robbie and Eric; great grandchildren Jill, Charlotte and Will. Brothers and sisters Etta (Chris), Joe (Hazel), Gerry (Florence), Bill (Elinor) and Lily (Jim); sisters-in-law Irene and Shirley and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Kate and Chrissy and brothers Henry, Dave, Jack, Sandy and Allan.
He lived for his family, had a wonderful sense of humour, a generous spirit and was a friend to all.
The family wish to extend a special thank you to Dr. Manhas, Dr. Broere and the nurses and staff of 2nd floor at the Cowichan District Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Chemainus United Church, 9814 Willow Street, Chemainus on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at 2:00 pm. Following the service a reception will be held at the Chemainus Garden and RV Park, 3042 River Road, Chemainus, BC. Flowers are gratefully declined.
