Passed away peacefully on June 30, 2003 at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. She was born May 12, 1934 in Saskatchewan, lived for many years in Ladner, and spent the past 13 years in Nanaimo. Liz fought cancer valiantly over the past year. She was a loving mother and wife and will be missed by all.
She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Nobby Houle and daughter, Lisa Redekop. She is survived by her loving husband, Bert LaBonte, son Preston Houle and wife Lynn, two granddaughters Sara and Emillie, along with sisters, a brother and their families.
There will be a private family service at a later date. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 3148D Barons Road, Nanaimo, BC V9T 4V5. Arrangements confidently assigned to Telford’s Mid-Island Memorial Services.
