Elmore passed away at his wonderful care home Rosewood, in Chemainus after a very short illness. Elmore came to Chemainus in 1932 and has resided there ever since, except for four years during the war which he served in Canada. He was very community minded and was the last living Charter member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 191. Elmore was also a member of the Mount Brenton Golf Club and on the board of the Chemainus Credit Union for many years. He was predeceased by his wife Jeanette in 2000 and his youngest son John in 2006. Elmore is survived by his son Alan (Cindy), and grandchildren Laura Giles (Dave) and Jim Hart (Ruth). He will be greatly missed by his special girls Sue, Kathy, and Merry. The family would like to thank all the staff at Rosewood Care Home for taking such great care of Elmore and allowing him to rule the clicker.
